White Line Block Prints

So in printmaking, we started out with this lovely style created in Provincetown MA.

Granted, I had hoped I would be in a class with more modern styles, moving away from the fine art shackles New England has...but i suppose that an older, classical style with subject matter usually consisting of beaches and lighthouses works. >.<

My own bias aside, its an interesting style. I may have melted it down to its base idea and then completely shredded the normal way of doing it though. Already working out what the next block will be.

This is the block once i was pretty much done cutting it

This is what the block looked like after every section was painted
then printed from, one at a time

And this was the finished result, I'm going to be doing more prints from this piece,
but I like how it came out.

Some Updates

So, now to begin updates.
I am in four art classes now, as well as english (which is gonna make my writing start up again). Hopefully will begin semi-regular paintings, some type of sketch updates....maybe writing as well. Maybe even a regular weekly update (GASP!). Ive also found several possible places to go to for submitting my art, both writing and visual arts. Hoping to use this to get off my ass and get moving.

Figure Modeling- Early Stages

Decided the sculpture needed some eyes >.>

Then a shoggoth appeared.

Also- The plane survived! at least my section did. I guess the school decided to remove it without asking the actual department heads and teachers....but Shingo managed to save almost all the micro sections and my entire tail piece ^_^
