Fourth of July

i had a little fun at my college and up in rockport messing with long exposure shots n stuff

found someone tossing up the "X" for Excission :P

i really love getting shots of fireworks that actually hint at
the explosive aspects rather than just the pretty lights,
i mean, explosions are so much better than
pretty lights
^_^

all those blue lights? People.
with a few of my friends chilling in the middle of the exodus
after the fireworks stopped

house up in rockport- i want it

i know theyre overdone, but i love macro shots
of flowers and stuff

i love this shot. her just standing apart from the crowd
during a parade- right as a giant
pink elephant goes by

actually managed to get some shots of lightning next
to the bonfire across the bay, thanks
to my girlfriend.
first time i actually caught lightning on camera

glamour shots done up next to the bonfire,
once it wasnt 30 feet tall

i love hitting up rockport for the fourth,
theres some fireworks around the bay
and a bunch of awesome shops and
some cool artists.

and a huge fracking bonfire with an outhouse and
sometimes an effigy on top of it.

White Line Block Prints

So in printmaking, we started out with this lovely style created in Provincetown MA.

Granted, I had hoped I would be in a class with more modern styles, moving away from the fine art shackles New England has...but i suppose that an older, classical style with subject matter usually consisting of beaches and lighthouses works. >.<

My own bias aside, its an interesting style. I may have melted it down to its base idea and then completely shredded the normal way of doing it though. Already working out what the next block will be.

This is the block once i was pretty much done cutting it

This is what the block looked like after every section was painted
then printed from, one at a time

And this was the finished result, I'm going to be doing more prints from this piece,
but I like how it came out.

possible new set

Thinking about
 as a new
shoot  concept..

sort of grungy, dystopian, vaguely S.T.A.L.K.E.R./Fallout thing...

more to come.

Dabbleing

hello there.

been dabbling in random things...

im working full time at-the-moment so my art is down to just concepts for the most part, that
will change soon i hope

in the mean time- my tech work has been going further. began studying C++ and a little Java, also working
on other networking tools etc. hopefully i will be writing a couple programs ive had ideas for for a while now including a strong cypher program.

this also means good things for my art- should be introducing some tech things into this....hopefully will
post concepts soon for that.

upcoming projects:

few paintings: eventually
programs: working on it
wallpapers/themes: in-process
sale of stickers/kickoff of design group? its a secret
